The Department of Art is committed to a professional art training within the context of a liberal arts university. The purpose of the Bella Vista Arts & Crafts Fair is to raise funds for the PTSA, which sponsors scholarships, provides funds for the library, campus beautification, student activities, and much, much more. On Tuesday, October 11, we held a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house with building tours to view the newly modernized main building at Valhalla High School. Over the past 7-months, OutsiderXchanges, a visual arts project based on collaboration, reciprocal learning and creative exchange has brought together six learning disabled artists and six contemporary visual artists in one studio space. Because most of the file sharing sites i used are down, i can’t claim anymore that this blog contains the biggest collection of old school live and radio hip hop tapes on the web. The Main Building, which is over 40 years old, and the theater at Valhalla High School have been dramatically modernized.
The School was also rated 89% for overall teaching satisfaction, with 90% of students agreeing that staff are good at explaining things. The hard thing to do is to build a classroom or school environment that doesn’t need awards for the kids to be engaged or feel appreciated, but I believe it is what we should be aiming for. Family and friends who will be out of town may view a live stream of the concert on the High School Cube. Quality school facilities and technology are vital in preparing students for college and careers. However, to share some hip hop history to new visitors and keep the old school vibe alive i will upload 10 of my favorite tapes in the next weeks. One of the cruelest twists on the arduous path through graduate school comes at the very end.

The philosophy of the North High School Fine Arts Department faculty is to offer students a well-rounded curricular experience that includes exposure to genres of music and art in a wide variety of creative and re-creative settings. The Wits School of Arts building can be accessed from the Station Street entrance to the main Wits campus.
To be eligible to apply, the lead applicant needs to be Arts Council funded, or have presented work to the public through ACE programmes.
