MILWAUKEE — Sunday, June 5th was the annual UPAF Ride for the Arts” — one of the nation’s largest recreational bike rides that raises money for the performing arts in the Milwaukee area. The Ride for the Arts raises money for 15 UPAF Member Groups” so that they can deliver the best in music, dance and theater and make our region distinct. The City is developing an Arts and Culture Master Plan as a framework for the City’s future vision, policy and action plan for arts and culture. The Art Council supports exhibitions and performances of Swiss artists at renowned art institutions in Switzerland or internationally reputed art institutions abroad.

It is responsible for developing, sustaining and promoting the arts through the distribution of public money from central government and revenue generated by the National Lottery. Since opening in September 2015, 63 applications have been funded for a total of $2 018 014, investing in vibrant arts and cultural projects across the state. Throughout Flagstaff we serve the larger arts and sciences community with grant funding, promotional support, advocacy and community-wide initiatives and programming.supports and arts

The Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support (IVAIS) program supports a professional, viable and ethical Indigenous visual arts industry with strong participation by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. With initiatives of our own we take up topical developments in the arts scene and lay the foundations of new networks for Swiss cultural practitioners at home and abroad.
