The Genesee Center for the Arts & Education is a community of makers, from the established artist to dabbler. Yale-NUS College is an entity set up as a collaboration between NUS and Yale University in the US. Yale is one of the oldest and leading proponents of liberal arts education in the world, so the partnership was meant to establish a solid liberal arts programme in Asia.

In Educational Sloyd and Whittling, by Gustaf Larsson you can read the projects as they are presented and see a gradual expansion of the number of tools required for the project, that their introduction is arranged upon their complexity and difficulty of use, and that the projects themselves increase in difficulty and complexity throughout the course.

Evidence of its effectiveness in reducing student dropout, raising student attendance, developing better team players, fostering a love for learning, improving greater student dignity, enhancing student creativity, and producing a more prepared citizen for the workplace for tomorrow can be found documented in studies held in many varied settings, from school campuses, to corporate America.

Although cultural pluralists in art education argue that Western mainstream art is neither politically nor ideologically innocent, we tend to embrace the art of other cultures as if it were harmless, failing to examine its politics and ideology (Collins & Sandell, 1992, p. 9).

According to Child(1976) pupils with special needs require individual instructions and extra love as they feel neglected because of their needs.Although inclusive education treat children according to their needs,it is difficult for the teacher to provide the much needed care, espeacially the handcapped who need extra care as they feel neglected.
