Each year, RTÉ supports many local and national arts events throughout Ireland through media partnerships and widespread cultural content on Radio 1, 2fm, lyric fm, Raidio na Gaeltachta, RTÉ One and Two, across RTÉ.ie, and via RTÉ Orchestras, Quartet and Choirs. Advocates can encourage local and state education policymakers to use their federal funds in these areas to support arts education. Our primary vehicle for nurturing creativity is the annual Joyce Awards program, which supports artists of color in creating new work in partnership with nonprofit organizations. Queensland Premier and Minister for the Arts Annastacia Palaszczuk said the latest round of Queensland Arts Showcase Program would see 12 new projects across the state receive funding of $310 322. The Victoria Arts Scan mapping project was funded by a $10,000, 2010 Legacies Now grant, made possible by the BC Provincial Government, in addition to $10,000 from the City of Victoria.
The City has been working with local arts and cultural groups for over 45 years to support initiatives such as multicultural festivals, special events and films, Canada Day celebrations, public art, Victoria’s Poet Laureate and Youth Poet Laureate program, and the annual City of Victoria Butler Book Prize.
An assessment committee made up of OAC staff from the visual arts and craft office,the Deaf and Disability Arts & Access committee as well as artists or arts professionals from the disability arts sector reviews applications and makes recommendations on an ongoing basis.
The Arts Organization Operational Grant program supports the annual operating expenses of some of Alberta’s arts and cultural organizations and companies, including theatre and performing arts organizations, public art galleries and community arts organizations.
