While at BGSU, undergraduate students will have the opportunity to gain real-world experiences through on-campus and off-campus internships and study abroad experiences. Students in EMAC take courses designed to prepare them for promising careers in new media made possible by advances in communication technologies: computer graphics, hypermedia, cyberspace and virtual reality, Web design and authoring, the electronic arts and multimedia, animation and game design, to name just a few.
Problems with communication can pop-up at every stage of the communication process (which consists of sender, encoding, channel, decoding, receiver, feedback and context – see the diagram below) and have the potential to create misunderstanding and confusion.
Students take part in the realization of their own digital portfolio, take part in conferences offered by media professionals and participation in events organized by the college: Video days, Web integration, TAV Arts and Letters Communications Fest.
