ASEF culture360 is proud to launch a new research titled Arts Management: challenges and learning from 7 cultural organisations in Bangladesh, India and Pakistan” Commissioned by ASEF culture360, this publication was researched by ARThinkSouthAsia , a management, policy and research programme in the arts and cultural sector, dedicated to founding and supporting arts managers in South Asia. We are an independent not for profit organisation, supported by Arts NSW and our seven local governments – Ballina, Byron Shire, Clarence Valley, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley and Tweed Shire. It also includes one level of Language Arts and many books along with that program. Over the past 7-months, OutsiderXchanges, a visual arts project based on collaboration, reciprocal learning and creative exchange has brought together six learning disabled artists and six contemporary visual artists in one studio space. This coverage of an artist who lives outside the system is quite exception.
As they make and respond to artworks, students explore meaning and interpretation, elements and forms, and social and cultural contexts of the arts. Today it is one of the most popular means of artistic expression in the world, with audiovisual pieces of great value that are considered classics among scholars and film buffs. Amongst the 7 forms of fine art, painting is perhaps one of the most recognised disciplines.
