The Department of History of Art provides degree programmes in history of art and fine arts and has been, since the setting up of an Art Unit in 1987, responsible for the academic formation of a generation of art historians who now occupy key posts in Malta’s cultural and heritage management institutions. Recognizing each of these six areas and creatively incorporating them all into a variety of learning activities will make an elementary school level language arts program a success. A minimum of two units (or equivalent) must be selected from the MA modules in the History of Art and Archaeology department listed below. This unprecedented, ambitious history lays bare our troubled past, and sets us on the path to imagining the better, more equal cities of the future. Priority will be given to centres that: are working with young people for whom access and inclusion is an issue and who will use the grant to support them to pilot, embed or develop their Arts Award work with these groups.
