By supporting arts organizations that commission and exhibit work by artists of color, employ all levels of staff of color, and regularly offer programs with content expressing multiple ethnic viewpoints, we ensure the arts are at their best and the canon is flush with the necessarily diverse expressions of 21st century creativity.
The Flagstaff Arts Council operates the Coconino Center for the Arts and serves the Flagstaff area with support, advocacy and promotion of arts, culture and sciences. In October 2014, OAC launched Vital Arts and Public Value, a strategic plan for 2014 to 2020.
The LifeCycles Project Society, a local non-profit group, was contracted to collect data and create an inventory, as well as prepare a draft report that identified opportunities and gaps in Victoria’s current arts and cultural community and made recommendations for future priorities.
The annual Bloomin’ Beautiful Blackbutt Festival in September will feature the talents of Queensland favourites Topology and The Kransky Sisters, while North Stradbroke Island arts group the Saltwater Murris will present their work at the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair in July.
The Flagstaff Arts Council hosts ground-breaking art exhibitions, phenomenal performances and exciting events year round at the Coconino Center for the Arts. Hauptstadtkulturfonds (Cultural Fund of the Capital City) supports arts projects across all genres in Berlin.
