The module traces the history of community arts and provides practical exercises on workshop skills to develop an understanding of the role of music technology in the local community.

Over 500 annual events and performances are put on by BYU Arts including opera, Shakespeare, ballroom dance, art exhibitions, orchestras, folk dance and more. Students must complete 78 credit points (cp) in compulsory Media and Communications units of study. The first thing you need is to understand the purpose of your communication and understand the process of communication. The theater, communication and media world is exploding with opportunities, and the School of Communication and the Arts is the place to prepare to meet that future. For this reason, it is important we incorporate all six areas into elementary language arts instruction.
