The school of Visual/Performing Arts and Media (VPAM) appeals to artistic students who are interested in jobs such as composer, musician, stage director, writer, journalist, interior decorato, or actor/actress. Depending on the option modules you choose in Years 2 and 3, you will have the option of beginning a top-up programme of study for a BA degree – either a BA Arts Management or a BA Media Management – which you can complete in either 1 year (full-time study) or 2 years (part-time study).
This master’s track suits students who have studied one of the arts disciplines (dance, music, theater, film, literature, performance art) or arts-related perspectives (media studies, cultural studies, art history, arts sociology, arts philosophy) in their Bachelor programme.
In the Master’s track Arts, Culture and Media: Mapping the Arts in Society, students examine the role of the arts in society. In addition, students interested in pursuing graduate degrees will find the undergraduate program in media studies to be rigorous, including opportunities for research and writing that will prepare him or her well for pursuing a master’s degree. These officers rotate through a variety of positions, including associate conductor, administrator and instructor at the Armed Forces School of Music. In Foundation to Year 2, students learn to be an audience for different arts experiences within the classroom. Transformers Youth Arts Group meets on Thursday evenings at St Peter’s Church, Burnham, and have been together since 2010. As they make and respond to artworks, students explore meaning and interpretation, forms and processes, and social and cultural contexts of the arts. In the year 2006, these artists occupied around 87,000 jobs in the United States.

Publications on issues pertinent to the media arts field, both practical and aesthetic, and both digital and in print. To demonstrate an appreciation of the history of film, television, and digital media as outlets for aesthetic expression, political mobilization and cultural circulation. UNSW Art & Design is taking interdisciplinary art, design and media education to a new level. The one-year Master’s track is a specialization within the Master’s degree programme in Arts and Culture.
